Riding the coattails of Taylor’s very successful GT series guitar, this new 800 series solid wood acoustic/electric guitar is the second model to feature the all-new Grand Theatre body shape. Complete with Taylors new C-Class bracing, the Taylor GT811e comes equipped with rich rosewood back and sides, a beautifully precise Sitka Spruce top, a gloss finish and an extremely durable Aero case. Don’t be alarmed by its smaller body shape – The GT811e is a scaled-down version of their grand orchestra model, which means that you get all the punch, depth and structure, just in a much smaller body.
Other features include a Neo-tropical mahogany neck, smoky Crelicam ebony fretboard, 24-1/8-inch scale length, 1-23/32-inch nut width, and C-Class bracing. Appointments include maple body and soundhole binding, black/maple top purfling, single-ring shell/abalone rosette, mother-of-pearl/shell Element fretboard/peghead inlays Taylor smoked nickel mini-tuners, a rosewood pickguard, ebony bridge pins with abalone dots, 4.5-mil gloss-finish body, and ES2 electronics (GT 811e).
