We will accept returns on items for up to 10 days after arrival date for exchange, credit or a full refund of product including any taxes paid at the time of sale. Shipping is not refundable. If your purchase included a 5% free shipping allowance, that amount will be deducted from the amount being refunded. Arrival Date is the day the recipient signs for the item.
All returned items must be in new, saleable condition and include all packaging, manuals and materials included with the original purchase.
Customer must pre-pay courier fees for product returned; no COD’s.
NOTE: If the package appears to have been damaged during shipment, please retain all packing materials, as the carrier will need to inspect them.

To ensure that your return is handled quickly and properly, you must receive a return authorization number prior to sending it back to us!

Once you receive authorization, please ship the item(s) via UPS, FedEx or Canadian Post Insured.

Please be sure that your return authorization number is written clearly on the outside of the package. Include a copy of your sales invoice inside the package, along with instructions for processing your return (Exchange or credit)
IMPORTANT: Items returned without a valid RA number will be refused at the customer’s expense.
EXCEPTIONS TO THE RETURN POLICY
- Software, Videos, DVDs and CDs that have been opened may not be returned.
- Print Music and Books may not be returned.
- Ear Bud Headphones and Ear Plugs may not be returned.
- Items that are not in a new, saleable condition may not be returned.
- Items that have markings or flaws such as pick marks on them not present at the time of purchase may not be returned.
- Reeds may not be returned if the packaging has been opened.
- Harmonicas, Recorders, Kazoos, Ocarinas, Jaw Harps may not be returned.
- Strings may not be returned if the packaging has been opened.
- Mouthpiece returns are subject to a sterilization fee of $6.00.
- Items that are missing any of the original packaging, manuals or materials may be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee.
- Items designated with any of the following may not be returned: Close Out, Clearance, Discontinued, Scratch and Dent, or As Is.
We Always Sell New Items Unless Stated Otherwise
We follow common practices in the music retail industry in that we often open original packing sent from our manufacturers and suppliers. This is the case because our technicians need to set up and test for Quality Assurance or because items are produced in limited numbers and may be set up for display purposes. When we ship orders we re-pack in the original packaging when possible. Items that have been refurbished or were returns go through our inspections and will be clearly indicated. Customers will be refunded the full amount of the product purchased including any taxes added at the time of sale, less the amount of shipping or the allowance of “free shipping” for the sale; shipping is not refundable.
DAMAGED, INCORRECT OR MISSING ITEMS
Should you receive a damaged item, we want to replace the item as quickly as possible. Please email us to arrange for pickup. We will then send you a replacement immediately.
Occasionally, mistakes happen. If you are missing an item, or if you were shipped the wrong item, we apologize for any inconvenience and will do our best to fix the problem as quickly as possible. Please email us as soon as you are aware of the problem. If we have made an error, we will correct it immediately at our expense.
If you receive a duplicate shipment because of an error on our part, we will promptly have it picked up at our expense and apply any appropriate credits or refunds.
If you are sending us an email with an order confirmation, please be absolutely certain that you have clearly indicated this. Otherwise, the order will likely be duplicated and may be returned at customer’s expense.
Gift cards may not be returned. Gift cards are valid for in-store purchases only, at either The Arts Music Store in Newmarket, ON. Cards may not be used toward the purchase of merchandise for sale on this web site. Cards may not be redeemed for cash. The Arts Music Store is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged cards. Gift cards are typically shipped within 1-2 business days and you should receive them within 3-8 business days.
