Electro-Harmonix (EHX) has been in the music business since 1968 when musician and promoter Mike Matthews founded the venture in New York City. The company is well known across the world for its contributions to rock music via its tremendous line of instrument effects pedals. Electro-Harmonix has had a profound impact on guitarists and bassists over the past several decades with the unique tone and sound their stomp boxes produce.
Some of their most famous products over the past half a century include the renowned Big Muff pedal series, Hot Tubes, Small Stone, the Memory Man, and Electric Mistress. These pedals are used by the likes of some of rock’s royalty such as; Pete Townshend, Carlos Santana, Alex Lifeson, David Gilmour, Ace Frehley, The Edge, Jack White, Billy Corgan, Thom Yorke, Noel Gallagher, Flea and the late Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix and Chris Cornell.
