The Arts Music Store has been a staple for musicians since 1985. Independent and family-run, we offer an encouraging and supportive work environment where our team members are provided with opportunities to develop, share and grow their love of music. We have a highly respected music school in Newmarket, providing our students with an exceptional music experience.

We are looking for engaging and talented piano teachers who are as enthusiastic about music as we are. We have a very diverse group of students – ranging from young to mature, beginner to advanced, with a variety of musical genre preferences. We treat each student as an individual and recognize and embrace that each person’s musical motivations and goals are different.
Requirements:
– High level of communication skills
– Able to cover diverse musical genres
– Strong time management skills
– Minimum Grade 8 RCM or studied music at a post-secondary level
– Previous teaching experience
– Available to work evenings (1pm/4pm – 9pm) and weekends (10am – 3pm/5pm)
– Familiar with teaching both in-person and online lessons using Zoom and Google Meet
– A strong love of music and teaching
Responsibilities:
– Teaching private 30-60 minute lessons
– Create personalized lessons plans for each student that are reflective of the student’s goals and learning styles, and incorporate reading, theory, ear training and technique
– Create a supportive environment in which students are encouraged to grow
– Provide feedback to parents (where applicable)
