Charvel Guitars

Founded in 1974 by Wayne Charvel in Azusa, California, Charvel guitars have been synonymous with rock and heavy metal for years. Beginning as a repair shop, Charvel garnered praise for its custom finishes, repair jobs, and custom part manufacturing before finally beginning the production of complete, handmade, high quality guitars. In 1989, Charvel was sold to Japanese manufacturer IMC which saw a transition to mass produced factory manufacturing. Charvel has been operated under the Fender name since 2002 and has since returned to the high-quality, American made brand that it once was
