The Arts Music Store Rock Band Camp 2010

Our Ultimate Rock Band Camp is back for a 4th year in a row…

Have you been taking private lessons for awhile and want to know what it is like to play in a band with others? Have you wanted to form a band but didn’t have any friends that also played? Do you love playing music and want to spend a great 2 weeks with other budding musicians?

Then our camp experience is for you….

General Camp info:

All camps are 2 weeks long. 9 am to 4 pm – Monday to Friday
Located locally in Newmarket -Final performance for family and friends at end of 2nd week
Overall objective of camp is to form a band and have the ultimate experience of being in a rock       band… …with lots of guidance and experience from The Arts Music Store teachers and staff
Everyday activities include private coaching, group instruction, band practices and industry related       workshops, such as songwriting, recording, performing and live sound.
All teachers and coaches are The Arts Music Store certified teachers that work with us all year       sharing the love of music with many students
It’s like a regular day camp, but all music, all the time! Bring your brown bag lunch!
We provide a dinner meal on the night of the performance as all Rock Stars need to remain with us       after 4 pm to get ready for the final performance.
Professional equipment provided, including sound and light systems for final performances. Guitar       and Bass students provide their own instruments. Drums, keyboards, amplifiers, etc. are provided

Session dates:

      Session # 1     July 5 to 16
      Session # 2     July 19 to 30
      Session # 3     Aug 9 to 20

Camp Requisites:

Ages 8 to 17
Minimum 1 year experience playing their instrument
We form the bands based on similar playing levels and ages. We provide coaching and instruction       to all levels of players…if you are already in a band and you would like to attend as a band, you will       receive expert coaching and input to take your band to greater levels.
Must be available for entire two week period.
Cost: $750 for two week period.
Cost includes camp everyday, private and group band instruction, use of professional equipment,       seminars, dress rehearsal meal and a DVD of the finale performance.
