The advantage of starting with an acoustic guitar is it's simplicity.

We have 3/4 size acoustics starting from $15+ per month, and full size acoustics starting from $25+ per month. Prices do not include applicable taxes.

An electric guitar, once an unaffordable instrument for beginners, offers almost instant gratification for the student who wants to hear their favorite power-chord grind through an amp. If playing modern music or classic rock is the goal, an electric guitar will foot the bill. If quiet is what the parents or neighbours want, than electric is the way to go.

Almost all practice amps now include a headphone output so the student can play undisturbed, while others remain, undisturbed.

Electric guitar and bass rentals start at $30 per month; practice amplifiers start at $10. Prices do not include applicable taxes.

The Arts Music Store has been renting all kinds of musical equipment for the last 25 years. As technology changes, so does our gear.

Renting is a way that customers can audition equipment that may be more sophisticated, more powerful and newer than the gear that they own.

Some customers may be renting an instrument that they would like to try, but don't want to make a commitment until they decide they like it.

Some gigging musician's may not have the room to store gear, nor the finances to own their own P.A.

To rent from The Arts Music Store, the customer signing the contract MUST have a valid Ontario Driver Licence AND a VISA or Mastercard IN THEIR NAME as the customer is financially responsible for the safe return of the equipment regardless whether it is for their use, their child's, or an organization.

Rentals are on a First-come, First-serve basis so call us as soon as possible to arrange a quote, Rentals are on a "Weekday", "Weekend", "Week", "2 Week", "3 Week", and "Monthly" basis.

Note that "Weekend" rental period can start as early as Thursday morning, or as late as closing Saturday, and ends at 8 p.m. the following Monday evening. We like to think that we are rewarding those who come in early for the weekend as they will have the greatest choice and availability at no extra cost.
