The Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Hardtail guitar has a thermally-treated roasted neck that not only looks great but adds dimensional stability and resistance to temperature, humidity changes and warping. It has reduced density while maintaining stiffness for a lighter neck with sufficient strength. The roasted neck offers increased resonance, less damping, and clearer tone. The heating process also gives a microstructure similar to naturally aged woods with lower moisture content and eliminates the need for hazardous chemical treatments.

It features a mahogany neck, 513 electronics and includes our patented pickup system providing 13 modern and vintage sounds utilizing 5 proprietary single coil pickups. 25th Anniversary appointments include shadow bird inlays, anniversary headstock eagle, bound rosewood fretboard and a unique palette of colors. Other specifications include a 25 1/4" scale length, a special neck joint and an easy to use integrated electronics control package, which includes volume control, tone control and two blade switches. PRS adds other enhancements to the 25th Anniversary Modern Eagle III like: shadow bird inlays, an anniversary headstock eagle, a bound rosewood fretboard and a unique color palette. PRS also adds 3 cutting-edge narrowfield pickups to the Modern Eagle III. These passive PRS pickups are based on 57/08 humbuckers that have been "squished" to create a smaller magnetic field to sense a much shorter piece of the string. The result is a very musical new-sounding pickup system that blends the sonic attributes of single-coil, soapbar, and humbucker pickups.
